The Shelby County Public Library is delighted to host an upcoming event by the Indiana Audubon Society. The 'Great Backyard Bird Count: Fun, Easy, Science in Action' presentation will be held on Wed., February 4, 2026, at 6:30 pm at the main library.
Engage in meaningful conservation efforts from your own backyard during the GBBC, happening February 13-16, 2026. Led by Olivia Bautch, who coordinates outreach at Indiana Audubon, the program will cover the history of the GBBC, its importance, and how your bird sightings contribute to scientific research on population trends.
You'll also learn tips to make your observations part of a global conservation dataset. We look forward to seeing you there!
