Shelby County Reads, our community-wide reading program, is celebrating its 23rd season with two selected books (fiction & nonfiction) that reflect the themes of America 250, encouraging the community to explore stories of history, identity, and resilience.
The program invites readers to connect through shared reading and meaningful discussion. This year’s events will also include a community writing contest inspired by the books and the American story, book discussions, and a storytime at the Farmer's Market (August 29).
