Shelby County Players: Youth Theatre Camp (July 20-24)

The Shelby County Players Youth Theatre Camp is a week-long immersive experience designed for students entering grades 3–12 who want to explore the exciting world of theatre. Held July 20–24 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Wortman Family Civic Theatre in Shelbyville, campers will gain hands-on experience in both performance and production. Participants will learn about acting, stage direction, theatre history, costume design, set design, and prop making while working alongside experienced theatre professionals. The camp encourages creativity, teamwork, and confidence-building in a fun and supportive environment. Campers should bring their own lunch each day. The week concludes with a special Camp Showcase on July 25 at 10:00 a.m., where participants can share what they have learned with family and friends. Registration is $150, space is limited to 40 participants, and registration closes June 22. For more information visit: Theatre Education Program | Shelby County Players
