Mission: To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, offering them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Volunteer Opportunities: Assist with tournaments; Coaching sports throughout the year
Volunteer Requirements: Must be 18+ years old to volunteer. One day volunteers are welcome without screening. Continuous volunteers with one-on-one activities with our athletes require an application and background check.
Special Help Needed: We are looking for volunteers for our tourney on Feb 25th at Shelbyville High School. Please reach out to soashley15@yahoo.com with interest and availability.
