Mission: The purpose of this organization shall be to foster and promote the concept of the adult community band. In implementing this purpose, the organization’s goals shall be:
1. To contribute positively to the musical environment of the area it serves.
2. To make music for people, engendering pride in our community.
3. To provide an opportunity for individual musical expression and growth among the membership.
4. To stimulate interest in the creation of community bands through participation in music festivals and performances.
5. To reaffirm the community band position in American music by broadening appreciation of the range and depth of music which only a concert band can offer.
Volunteer Activities: The band performs 6-8 concerts, weekly rehearsals.
Volunteer Age Requirements: 18+
Volunteer Special Skill Set: To take part, individuals must have a basic foundation in instrumental (band) music and must have previous experience playing an instrument.
