Healthy Families is a statewide, voluntary evidence-based home visiting program in all 92 counties of Indiana. There is 30+ agencies that “host” the Healthy Families program. For Shelby County, Healthy Families was previously housed under Family Services and Prevention Programs. Unfortunately, FSPP had to close their doors as an agency, but luckily The Villages was able to pick up the Healthy Families program for our county and avoid any gaps in services.

David shared, ‘Telling an organization's story is more important than ever as a nonprofit seeks to stand out in the crowded field. Getting the message out concisely while engaging the audience takes time and effort.’ This two hour event was a part of capacity building series of workshops that has been offered to Nonprofits through the Blue River Community Foundation and was attended by 26 local NPO leaders.

Shelby County Players: Groundbreaking on Theatre
Congratulations to Shelby County Players on the groundbreaking for their new theatre! It will be located at 1416 Miller Ave, Shelbyville, IN 46176. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 16. The building will be completed in three phases. Phase 1 will begin this year.
