Girls Inc’s Annual ‘Girls Night In: Parents Night Out’ will be held on Fri., November 10 (5:30-9:30pm). This is a great opportunity for you to do some holiday shopping or go to dinner and a movie while your girl has a fun-filled night at Girls Inc.! There will be a dance party, pizza, face painting, and time in the gymnastics room for the girls. It is $20 for members; $30 for nonmembers. Sign up here.

The Boys & Girls Club of Shelby County 3rd Annual Community Christmas Dinner will be held on December 23, 2023. Eat in or take out anytime between 4-7pm. THE MEAL IS FREE! If you are looking for Christmas decorations, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has had several Christmas items donated to their Thrift Store (424 E. Jackson St., Shelbyville IN 46176).

The Shelby County Public Library will be hosting a Christmas Open House on Tues., December 5 from 4-6pm. Library Director, Janet Wallace, will be retiring on December 31 after 42 years of employment there. You are invited to wish Janet well and to meet the new Executive Director to be announced in November 2023. Emily Duffy will be playing stringed music; Cookies and Punch will be served.

Write your letters to Santa and drop them in the Santa mailbox at the Velma Wortman Morristown Branch of the Shelby County Public Library! It's set to magically appear on November 1st, and the elves will take it away on December 17th! Legend has it that the magical mailbox makes sure that Santa Claus always writes back to a return address!
