Grover Center, Strand Theater, Public Library & Second Baptist Church worked together to offer a successful series of events to honor Black History Month.
Sarah Richardt, Grover Center Director, shared, “I was very heartened by the people that came to the black history month programming to learn and celebrate. We had over 50 people each week attend with 70 people attending the last week. The visitors’ reactions were very positive. We look forward to celebrating many cultures this year including the Scottish people for the Highland Games, Mexican / Hispanic community members for Day of the Dead celebrations and Japanese community members with special programming.”
