Meltzer Farm: Alien Crop Circle - Corn Maze

Check out the Alien Crop Circle Themed Corn Maze at Meltzer Farm (1397 S. 600 E. Shelbyville, IN). $5.00 for Adults and $3.00 for Children. The Maze sits to the right side of the Farmhouse. There is also a pick your own pumpkin patch (prices are marked for pumpkins) and a shaded area where you can view the native American Tipi. Parking is available. It is open everyday until dark through October 31.

Mainstreet Shelbyville, Inc. is seeking sponsors to invest in Shelby County’s signature holiday event. This year’s Mistletoe Market will be held on Fri., December 1. The event will start at 5:30pm — Holiday Parade at 7pm. It will include family fun, local artisan and storefront holiday shopping, the lighted community parade, and a special visit from SANTA! To provide more interactive opportunities, they are seeking sponsors to bring a Ferris Wheel, Carriage Rides, Reindeer Games, and to support the Market Tent. Shelbyville Parks & Recreation: Two Full-Size Basketball Courts Opening

The Shelbyville Parks & Recreation Department is opening two full-court basketball courts at Morrison Park (710 S Miller St, Shelbyville, IN 46176). They will be ready for play on Friday, September 29 - 3pm! They still will have some work to complete on them but the public is invited to use them. The Parks Dept. is planning to have leagues and tournaments for the spring/summer 2024.

Shelby Community Band: 50th Anniversary Concert! (October 8)

You won't want to miss this afternoon of music that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Shelby Community Band on Sunday, October 8 at 3pm at the Strand Theatre! Music will tie into that old saying, and include Sousa marches, a Salute to Blue Eyes (Sinatra), Bach, and the world premiere of the newly commissioned piece by Rossano Galante. There will also be some surprise guests from the band's past, and some other fun media from the last 50 years. This concert is free. Donations are accepted.
