The Blue River Community Foundation (BRCF) is offering a match up to $10,000 on donations made to any created or existing Field of Interest Fund between November 13-29, 2022. Updates have also been made to the directory of these funds.
What is a Field of Interest Fund? A Field of Interest Fund allows donors to support specific areas of interest or causes that are important to them. For example, they might want their donation to go toward projects that bring the arts to the community, help feed the hungry, assist with accessibility, support literacy, etc. Other people can donate to these established funds or create a new fund at any time to help make more money available to organizations in different areas of interest each year.
What do these funds mean for my organization? A charitable organization can submit a fund request through the BRCF Grant Interest Forms with any grant cycle. Staff members might see that your project would be a good fit for one of these Field of Interest Funds. At this point, it might be feasible for BRCF to fund your request directly through money available through one of these funds outside of a competitive grant cycle.
Nonprofits, you might want to check out the updated directory to see if there are funds that fit your organization’s mission.
