On May 13, local letter carriers from the U.S. Post Office collected nonperishable food items for Shelby County food pantries in conjunction with the Stamp Out Hunger Drive. Volunteers for the pantries set up tables at Shelbyville News to sort items that were donated through the campaign. In total, 5200 cans were donated and 23 volunteers assisted.
