Stephen Black, MHP Director of Behavioral Health/Social Drivers of Health (SDOH), coordinated a Nonprofit Center Town Hall Meeting on May 23 with consultants from The Nonprofit Centers Network based out of Denver, CO. Work is underway to create a social service oriented nonprofit center (NPC) in Shelbyville. The NPC will be a coordinated shared space, focused on helping those in need.
Representatives from local nonprofits were invited to communicate about their organization’s needs and what they would find beneficial in a shared space. The close proximity of organizations at one location could help streamline services for individuals and also create efficiencies for any participating organization.
There are over 500 centers in the United States. River Valley Resources is a successful NPC in Madison, IN. Contact Stephen Black if you would like more information.
