More Ways to Give Back!

If you are unable to volunteer on Fri., November 15, you can still make a difference.

  • Consider making a financial donation to a local nonprofit that is important to you!

  • Donate non-perishable food items or hygiene products to Shelby County Pantry Pals. Items can be dropped off at Shelby County Schools or the Shelby County Public Library (Food for Fines on November 15). Donations will be divided & distributed between local food pantries.

  • Gleaners Food Bank needs volunteers on Sat., November 16 at their Mobile Pantry at Shelby County Fairgrounds. Contact Sloane Shockley Lewis for more details: sshockley@gleaners.org or 317-979-4468 cell

  • The Ville Church: needs volunteers on Sat., November 16 to help with painting and flooring for their new Early Learning Center. Contact Max Southern if interested.

  • Participate in a local Blood Drive in November - registration required. Versiti will be at the following locations: (Nov. 12) Shelbyville High School; (Nov. 14) MHP from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and (Nov. 20) the Knights of Columbus.

  • Cancer Association of Shelby County could use the following items: Copy paper, file folders 1/3 cut, business size envelopes, gift cards for office supplies; Gift Cards for our cancer clients

  • Pete Jarvis Organization could use the following items: Gas Gift Cards, Socks, Hats, Gloves, Feminine Products, Batteries
